Aspen to Maroon Bells
This is the bucket-list ride. From Aspen, cruise up Maroon Creek Road to one of the most photographed mountain scenes in North America—the Maroon Bells. It’s about 10 miles one way with a steady uphill grade, but your e-bike makes it totally doable, even for casual riders.
Along the way, there are a few great spots to pause and enjoy the ride. Stop by T-Lazy-7 Ranch to say hi to the llamas (yes, llamas!) and take in the peaceful ranch setting. Just a little farther, swing through Aspen Highlands Village for a cold beer and a bite at Highlands Ale House, or grab a coffee to fuel the final stretch.
The road is closed to most vehicle traffic during summer, so it’s peaceful and safe for biking. At the top, you're rewarded with crystal-clear Maroon Lake, framed by the towering twin peaks of the Bells—a must-see view that’s as magical in person as the photos suggest.
